Keep your garden kit ready.

After use, remove loose soil from tools and allow them to dry fully before storage. Clean with a soft cloth and follow any instructions supplied with the item. Do not leave tools standing in water or exposed to harsh weather for prolonged periods unless the individual item instructions allow it.

Watering and plant supports

Set watering cans on a stable surface, fill through the opening and pour with control to avoid spills. Check plant-support stakes are suitable for the soil depth and pot size, and install gently to avoid damaging roots.

Sharp-tool safety

Pruning shears and pointed hand tools have sharp or piercing parts. Keep them away from children, carry them by the handle and store them securely after use. Wear appropriate protection for the task and do not use damaged tools.
